Dyer will showcase his cutting-edge "Kingdom" series of extraordinary
animated role-playing games.
Mr. Dyer's credits include Dragon's Lair, the world's first

list of best selling games and one of only two games on display at the
Smithsonian Institute ), Space Ace, another top-selling animated
adventure, and Time Traveler, the first and only holographic
coin-operated game.
~ This is a very special IICS engagement ~
BE THE FIRST TO SEE Kingdom: Shadoan
Kingdom: Shadoan, a $3M production scheduled for release this
Christmas, is the second in a series of 5 games. The first game,
Kingdom: The Far Reaches, is currently available for MS-DOS CD-ROM,
3DO and CD-I, with Mac, Sega, and coin-op versions coming soon. Mr. Dyer
will show Shadoan on a 486 with Super VGA and stereo sound, show The Far
Reaches on a 3DO player, provide in-depth coverage of the design and
development of these games, and maybe even give us a sneak peek at the third
episode, Journey Into the Great Abyss, currently in production!
Come to IICS for the inside scoop on the production of these Kingdom
features:
- It's the first and only game with over 57,000 frames of hand-painted
full-motion cell animation.
- It delivers laser-disc quality video from a 486 without an MPEG card!
- It's the first game with a top-10-bound musical score (composed by Doug
and Brian Besterman and Martin Erskin of Beauty and the Beast and Pocahontas
fame).
- It uses professional voice actors.
- It has a unique "zoom" feature for detailed views of every landscape.
- It's a non-linear game for all ages, with two levels of difficulty.
- It's the first game to utilize book stores as a distribution channel.
- The CD-I version of Kingdom: The Far Reaches won last year's
Compact Disc Interactive Award.
We've invited developers and press from San Diego and around the world to
witness this event. Don't miss it!
